Our Mission

Holy Family Mission is an exciting project to unveil the mysteries of the Catholic Church to young hearts so that they may share them with others.

“I have come that they may have life and have it to the full” John 10:10

Holy Family Mission is a residential Catholic community for young people aged 18-30 who desire to become effective Disciples of Christ in the world. We accommodate young people from all across Ireland and abroad to lead them to the heart of the Church

Holy Family Mission, working under the auspices of the Diocese of Waterford and Lismore, was established in October 2016 as a response to the great hunger and desire in young people across Ireland to be formed in their faith in order to share it with others.

Holy Family Mission is made up of young, vibrant and joyful people who are engaged in this great adventure to know Him, love Him and serve Him.  How great is the need for new life in the Church in Ireland and for young people to courageously stand with the Lord whether it’s popular or not.

Our primary focus is setting young people on fire with love for Christ so that they can share Him with the world.

When we discover who Jesus is, how can we not share Him with others?

HFM is your opportunity to respond to your longing to be part of the renewal of the Church in Ireland, to come to know Jesus, love Him and serve Him.

There is no greater and more important task than to bring the Lord into our aching world.

“There can be no greater joy than to risk one’s life for the Lord!”

The second pillar of Holy Family Mission is Academic formation.

Academic formation is critical for the formation of any Catholic, if you want to truly enter into something you must know what it is. The core of this pillar is knowing the why of our faith.

We were happy to be part of "Ignite", an amazing online Catholic conference, organised and ran by the Dominicans.

Here's the first half of the conference today, with great international speakers like Fr Mike Schmitz, Ralph Martin and Scott Hahn.

It's a little long to watch in one sitting, but enjoy none-the-less.

“I have no doubt that Holy Family Mission is a work of God and will bring many blessings from God on the diocese and far beyond. I have seen first hand the joy of the young people and the Core Members. It is a living testimony to their search for Jesus and his desire to spread his joy to others. Holy Family Mission, Glencomeragh, is a place where people can come to experience that joy”

Bishop Phonsie of Waterford and Lismore
